RETREAT PROGRAM
Sightseeing and exploring history
Explore the history of Cyprus. During our trip we will explore the history of Cyprus, visit the old city of the capital and walk around the ruins of an ancient palace. We will discover the hidden architectural gems and cultural heritage of the Greeks.
The workshop includes the complete process of creating a contemporary pair of felted footwear of the student’s choice — either shoes or boots — constructed using traditional sewn footwear techniques.
Mastery of Felted FootwearFrom Wool to Structured Boots & Shoes
In October 2026, you are warmly invited to join a retreat dedicated to creating versatile, modern felted footwear. During the program, you will design and construct your own pair of boots or shoes, guided step by step through the full process — from idea and sketch to finished piece — using traditional sewn shoemaking construction.
Whether you are new to felt or already experienced, the structure of the retreat allows you to work at your own level while receiving individual guidance throughout.
Learn traditional crafts
We will explore and learn how Lefkara lace is created. The tradition of lace-making dates back to at least the fourteenth century. Influenced by indigenous craft, the embroidery of Venetian courtiers and ancient Greek and Byzantine geometric patterns, Lefkara lace is made by hand in designs combining four basic elements: the hemstitch, cut work, satin stitch fillings and needlepoint edgings. The practice is passed down from mothers to daughters and today is protected by UNESCO.
Body and soul care
Take a moment to relax...Within retreat, you will attend one of the best hammam spa in old town of Nicosia city. In addition, our program includes time on the coast with the opportunity to experience the Mediterranean Sea in velvet season.

Cyprus is known for its spiritual places, which are visited by people from all over the world. Together we will experience the depth of spiritual culture and visit sacred places.

Where the Retreat takes place?
The retreat will take place in a wonderful mountain area in Nicosia district, Cyprus. During the retreat, participants will explore other island districts. Transportation can be organized .
Where will I stay during Retreat (accommodation)?
Quiet peace in a small hotel in the mountains, which will open its doors only for us, will give us the opportunity to create. Stress and chaos will be left far behind, and the Machairas forests' limitless paths will spread out before you. Our workshop will be hold in a spacious hall on the ground floor of the hotel.
Can my spouse/partner join me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your partner with you. You can choose among 3 partner packages:● accommodation & breakfast;● accommodation & full board;● accommodation, full board & experiences (list of experiences is customized).
