Felting workshop

In this program, you will design and create a contemporary felted jacket based on your own concept and silhouette.

Working from your personal sketch, you will go through the full process of development, including pattern shaping, thoughtful wool layout, structural felting, and precise finishing. Special attention is given to proportion, balance, and the relationship between volume and line.

The retreat is built around my Advanced Pattern Making and Wool Layering Method for Garments, a system that combines construction principles with controlled fiber direction to achieve both form and durability. You will learn how to combine different layout techniques within one garment to create structure, flexibility, and expressive surface character.

Decoration is approached as part of the construction itself. Texture, relief, subtle color transitions, or stronger decorative elements are integrated in dialogue with the garment’s architecture.

The program welcomes both beginners and experienced makers. Each participant works at their own level and receives individual guidance throughout the process. The aim is not to copy a sample, but to develop your own piece with clarity and confidence.
